The Central Bank of Ireland is a dynamic, multi-faceted organisation at the heart of Ireland’s financial system.
TileStyle were approached by Henry J Lyons Architects to provide tiles for their new 28,000 sqm headquarters located on North Wall Quay, Dublin. The brief was to submit premium quality tiles that would add to the corporate style and status of this landmark building whilst also complying with the rigorous BECAR requirements in order to achieve the highest standard in BREEAM.
TileStyle were also instrumental in compiling an installation specification for the preparation materials such as adhesives in strict adherence to BECAR requirements.
The Central Bank is the first office building in Ireland to achieve the Building Research Establishment’s Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM) ‘Outstanding’ rating at design stage and it also has an A2 Energy rating.
This project earned a further accolade for Best Universal Design at the 2017 RIAI Irish Architecure Awards.
