When a project begins with a clear vision, great things can happen. This recent kitchen transformation is a perfect example of how strong collaboration, well considered design and premium materials come together to create a space that is both beautiful and functional.
The brief was clear from the outset. The clients knew what they wanted and were inspired directly by one of our Porcelanosa kitchen showroom displays. This clarity made all the difference. With a defined direction and strong visual reference, the design process flowed smoothly from concept to completion.
From initial design concept to reality
Our initial design concept closely matched the clients’ expectations thanks to their detailed brief and our kitchen designer’s careful interpretation. Only minor adjustments were needed before moving forward.
Understanding how the clients wanted to live and entertain in the space was key. TileStyle's kitchen designer focused on creating a space that balanced everyday practicality with a strong entertaining element.
Designed for entertaining with smart storage
At the heart of the layout is a spacious island designed for entertaining. One of the most distinctive features of the overall kitchen design is the signature corner breakfast bar overhang on the island, finished in the same warm timber as the kitchen cabinetry. The inspiration for this feature also came directly from our showroom display. The clients loved the breakfast bar overhang they saw during their visit and chose to replicate it in their own home, a great example of how seeing materials and layouts in person can resonate and inspire.
Another standout feature is the pantry with pocket doors, allowing everything to be neatly concealed when not in use. This keeps the space looking uncluttered, ideal for entertaining while still offering generous storage.
Statement Surfaces - Xtone Paonazza Bionda
The island, worksurfaces and backsplash are finished in the striking Xtone Paonazza Bionda from Porcelanosa, a surface that delivers both elegance and durability.
The backsplash has been bookmatched — a technique where two adjacent slabs are positioned to mirror each other, like the pages of an open book. This creates a symmetrical, flowing vein pattern that becomes a natural focal point and adds a luxurious feel to the space.
Large-format Bottega Caliza floor tiles, also from Porcelanosa enhance the sense of space and provide a calm and neutral base.
"We loved the kitchen showroom at TileStyle. We were pretty clear about what we wanted but the displays really helped us visualise the layout and finishes. TileStyle understood what we wanted to achieve from the start and offered expert advice around storage, layout and functionality and the installation was very smooth. We're really delighted with the end result".
