Client Project Example
To create a family friendly bathroom with a classic luxurious feel.
This project wasn't straight forward as the space was small and piping and plumbing had to be factored in.
Client is in the design business and had great vision and design ideas for their bathroom remodel.
We needed to ensure the bathroom was practical for day to day family life but also visually appealing and include the following:
- Free standing bath
- Wetroom floor
- Beautiful shower
- Ambient lighting
- The first challenge was to figure out the piping. We did this is by suggesting the construction of a false wall 120mm deep and 2400mm high to facilitate the vanity unit and where the shower valve, bath waste and wet room waste would be put.
- Now the technical part was out of the way the design side of things could begin.
- We put the free-standing bath on top of the wet room floor and created a wet area bordered off with a stud build out to define the area.
- With the wet area sorted, the wall hung toilet and vanity unit fit in perfectly on the other side of the stud wall. This took full advantage of the original build out to hide all piping.
- The use of brushed brass brassware and marble effect tiles contrasting with navy chevron tiles and a navy vanity unit give the bathroom a luxurious feel.
- The last request was ambient lighting which was achieved by putting a light sensor in the ceiling and wall lights evenly spread out and 300mm off the floor, so when you walk into the bathroom the warm lighting would switch on.
