The Central Bank of Ireland is a recently completed prestigious building located in Dublin.
TileStyle were approached by Henry J Lyons Architects to provide tiles for the new 28,000 m2 headquarters of the Central Bank on North Wall Quay, Dublin. The Central Bank of Ireland is a dynamic, multi-faceted organisation at the heart of Ireland’s financial system. TileStyle were asked to submit high end tiles which would add to the corporate style and status of this landmark building and at the same time comply with the rigorous BECAR requirements in order to achieve the highest standard in BREEAM.
TileStyle, in conjunction with BAL Adhesives were also instrumental in compiling an installation specification for the background preparation, adhesives, etc. all in strict adherence to BECAR requirements. The Central Bank is the first office building in Ireland to achieve the Building Research Establishment’s Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM) ‘Outstanding’ rating at design stage and it also has an A2 Energy rating.
A further accolade to this project was awarded at the 2017 Irish Architecture Awards by the RIAI awarding the prize for BEST UNIVERSAL DESIGN to HJ Lyons Architects.
