Have you seen the innovative architectural "hub" in the PORCELANOSA Bathroom Showroom at TileStyle yet?
Our PORCELANOSA bathroom showroom recently underwent a major refurbishment including the addition of an architectural "hub".
The hub is host to an impressive array of bathroom products by PORCELANOSA, all grouped by product type.
Krion shower panels: Krion Solid Surface can be thermoformed to almost any shape imaginable
Unlike many showrooms where you need to go from one display to another to compare different styles of a particular product, the "hub" at TileStyle has a designated area grouping together taps, toilets, showers and basins.
Before the addition of the "hub" some frequent questions arose from both design professionals and retail customers alike such as,
"Do you have an area dedicated purely to taps?" or "Is there an area where I can just look at toilets?"
TileStyle decided to focus on creating an area within the new PORCELANOSA Bathroom Showroom that adhered to these type of needs and the "hub" was born.

The ambition of the organisation is well matched with the Executive's strong strategic approach. I envisage our membership continuing to grow, and our wider programmes and consultancy offer expand to support more creative partnerships benefitting the business and arts sectors." Chief Executive of Business to Arts, Andrew Hetherington said "I'm looking forward to working closely with Gerard as Chair of Business to Arts, as I work with the Executive to implement a new strategic plan and continue the growth we've begun to see in corporate investments in the arts in the past 12 months. Working towards our 30th anniversary year in 2018, we're focussing on our Patrons, Members and Projects that support our mission to increase engagement between the sectors and continue to build private sector investment in the arts in line with the national recovery. TileStyle and the McNaughton Family are an incredible example of a family run-business that has seen many layers of benefit from their significant support of the arts each year." The fabulous entertainers included renowned Spanish musical group, Porvenir, and two stunningly beautiful flamenco dancers who interacted with a mesmerised audience.

REDEFINING THE VISION OF SPACE – Elegant and subtle yet contemporary whilst maintaining the qualities of ceramic durability and resistance.
These WOW ceramic tiles certainly more than live up to their name and are proving immensely popular in recent times.
The aesthetic of these tiles is nothing short of mesmerising, one could even say hypnotic.
Many architects and designers are loving this tile trend and are able to express their creative talents in a totally different and more innovative way than before.
TileStyle have supplied and specified these ceramic wall tiles for a few recent commercial clients and projects.
You can use your imagination more than ever before and explore your creative ideas and needs with this range of cleverly designed ceramic tiles.
THE ART OF DESIGNING WITH LIGHT AND SHADOW:
These eye-catching looks are a great design solution for those who want to add depth and visual appeal to a basic, neutral space without the use of bright tones.
They look absolutely amazing when they are fitted and give a sense of depth and playfulness whilst also adding a modest quirkiness to any setting. The smallest details can elevate a space from ordinary to stylish and sophisticated and they certainly bring a beautiful modern and bespoke element to any setting.
Anything is Possible! To see more incredible settings using these quirky tiles click HERE
Last night in the TileStyle showroom, we had the launch of "Transform", an exhibition of bespoke ceramic pieces created by the 3rd year students from the National College of Art and Design, Dublin.
There was a fantastic turn out for the launch with over 90 guests in attendance. Light refreshments were served whilst some soft jazz music echoed delicately throughout the showroom as the attendees were enveloped by the inspirational work of the students.
TileStyle's Retail Director and avid art enthusiast, Gerard McNaughton, opened the exhibition followed by a few words from both Lisa Young, lecturer to the ceramics students and Derek McGarry, Head of Design Innovation & Engagement in the National College of Art and Design.
From left to right: Gerard McNaughton, Retail Director of TileStyle, Lisa Young, NCAD Ceramics Lecturer and Derek McGarry, Head of Design Innovation & Engagement in the NCAD.
The exhibition is the result of an innovative Knowledge Transfer Programme partnership between TileStyle and The National College of Art and Design.
The students were asked to select a theme relating to the aspect of transform that they wished to explore and develop and create a wall mountable ceramic piece appropriate to this theme.
To further enhance the programme each ceramics student was paired with a visual communications student whose role was to develop a brand identity for the ceramic artist or their piece and document the process.
The ceramics students also faced the challenge of developing and communicating their ideas to their visual communications partner as well as engaging their TileStyle partner in a learning experience.
It was both a successful and memorable evening and we would like to extend our heartiest congratulations to all the students on creating such awe-inspiring pieces that we can proudly exhibit in the TileStyle showroom.
The exhibition is open to the public and will run until the 15th of March in TileStyle and it is definitley worth a look.
For more photos of the exhibition, please see our Facebook

Love it or loathe it, Valentine's Day is just around the corner and there's no escaping the hype that comes along with it. For many people in relationships, Valentine's Day is a big deal, so whatever you have planned for this Saturday the 14th of February, be sure to make it memorable!
Whether you like to celebrate with your loved one by taking a romantic trip away or by a simple gesture of kindness to show how much you care, here's a few ideas to help make it that little bit more special this year.
Bathtime: Run your loved one a bath, light them some scented candles and pour them a glass of their favourite beverage. There is nothing quite like a long, relaxing soak in a bath to unwind and de-stress after a busy working week. Have fluffy towels or bathrobes ready for when you are ready to get out of the bath. As an extra loving touch, warm the towels or robes ahead of using a towel warmer.
Spa Day: You could treat yourselves to a couple's spa day and just simply enjoy the time together whilst getting pampered. There are some great deals and packages out there so there really is no excuse!
Simply Enjoy Each Other's Company: Sometimes the best Valentine's Day gift you can give is the gift of uninterrupted time together doing nothing. You don't need to leave the house to make Valentine's Day special. Think of how great it could be to spend the entire day together - without interruption.
Trusty Box of Choccies: Everyone loves a box of chocolates, I know I certainly do anyway! An obvious gift for Valentine 's Day but I'm sure no-one will be complaining!
Valentine's Day doesn't have to cost a fortune or be especially elaborate, but making your loved one feel special is essential. Why not use it as an excuse to treat yourself and your loved one to the pampering you both deserve.
Wishing you a LOVEly Valentines Day this year from all of us here in TileStyle
Light on Eyece meets Tangible Energy
Yesterday as part of our Knowledge Transfer Programme with the NCAD (The National College of Art & Design), we paid a second visit to their delightful college on Thomas Street in Dublin City Centre.
"Marvelling" from A Birds Eye Stance....
There we marvelled at the progress of the students work and offered some (we hope...) useful guidance. Less than one week to go now to the launch of an Exhibition of these fascinating ceramic pieces, so it's all go.
Gillian Foley's project sparks a lively discussion
This innovative "Knowledge Transfer Programme" entails working with a group of NCAD Ceramics Students in the development of a collection of bespoke ceramic pieces. In turn, the students will gain an opportunity to apply their skills in a "real world" setting and benefit from TileStyle's commercial expertise.
Gerard McNaughton captivates his audience
In keeping with the spirit of this programme, Gerard McNaughton our Retail Director, delivered an insightful and inspiring speech on the commercial world, offering highly relevant advice on Pricing, Product Display and Sales and Promotional Techniques.
